Case Study 1 - Polished Porcelain - Cloudy Finish
Description of job
A sports bar had a refit and new porcelain tiles were laid. The carriage finish had not been removed and the installer sealed over the top. This reacted and the whole surface went cloudy. We stripped the entire surface back to the tile and then used a polishing machine, with a strong impregnating polish sealant. .

Case Study 2 - Limestone - Flood Damage
Description of job
A large barn convesion was flooded in recent heavy rain. The design company needed to have the flooring dried out, treatd and sealed. The surface then started to 'shale' as the floor dried (which was to be expected with this stone type). The floor had to be manually stablised, as layers of shaling limestone were taken off. Once stablised, the floor had a partial regrout and then once dried and tested with a hydrometer it was sealed.

Case Study 3 - Limestone - Grinding and resurfacing
Description of job
Our client / architects wanted their large farmhouse with the original limestone flags resurfacing. They thought they would have to rip it up to achieve a stone floor that they could live with. The flags had had years of abuse, with linoleum put down with bitumen and tar. The owners were convinced we could not get a good finish. see the results of our test. This work was undertaken before skirtings, the kitchen and final plastering had occured.
