Blending Old and New

We work with a lot of customers who are restoring old houses and wish to use methods and materials in keeping with the original structure. This often means blending old and new (or reclaimed) stone together.

Our customer had revealed a beautiful Limestone Flagstone floor and had sourced reclaimed Yorkstones to blend in.

We deep cleaned the existing Limestone throughout the downtairs as well as the area in the sitting room where we blended in the Yorkstone around a concrete area, which was going to be covered with a rug. We ensured the finish of the Limestone was a brushed and naturally aged finish which would blend well with the Yorkstones natural matt finish.
