Case study: Limestone – Hotel clean

We were brought in by an international hotel group to restore the limestone floor in the foyer at one of their hotels which had developed “picture framing”. This is an effect caused by the discolouration of the stone around the edge of each tile, in this case produced by excessive grout being applied. We gave the floor a light grind and resealed with several coats of impregnating sealant.

So as not to inconvenience guests we carried out the job overnight using noise restricted equipment, working in sections to minimise the disruption.
